With his ring of flaming red hair, floppy white bib and treasure chest of toys, Art Cervi's Bozo the Clown is a treasured childhood memory to many Windsorites and Detroiters.
Windsor Comic Cons and GlassMonkey Studios proudly announce his very special appearance at RetroRama Classic Collectibles Con on Sunday, Oct. 30th at Windsor’s Caboto Club - his FIRST-EVER convention!
Cervi played Bozo on Windsor's CKLW-TV from 1966 until 1975, when he emigrated from Canada to play Bozo on Detroit's WJBK-TV through 1980.
At the end of Bozo’s run, there was a five-year waiting list to get on his show and a staff of 17 people who opened mail and handled personal appearances!
Not only will Cervi have copies of his biography- "I Did What?" for sale at RetroRama, he will also have some nostalgic items on display such as Bozo's TV costume.
Now retired from entertaining but often found peeking under the hood of several classic cars he oSwns, Cervi will also be honored with our second 'Northern Star Award' for his outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.
Please 'Share' this post to children of all ages! Bozo the Clown is coming back to Windsor! Don't miss it!
